“Girls are one of the most powerful forces for change in the world: When their rights are recognised, their needs are met and their voices are heard, they drive positive change in their families, their communities and the world.” – Kathy Calvin, United Nations Foundation President & CEO

In areas of conflict, women are peacemakers and influencers. In times of need, women drive transformation and development in their homes, their neighbourhoods and their nations. And when girls feel valued, celebrated and motivated, they grow up to be powerful change-making women. And, that is why we are so determined to help as many school girls as possible go through education in deprived areas.

For girls, education means more control of their lives. More choice over when to marry and family size. More status, income, and the power to help their communities.

Our donations are giving young people this chance.

This is what one of the girls positively impacted by the Michael Matthews Foundation had to say:

“I would like to be a very rich woman. I will open my childcare centre to take care of orphans and street children who are homeless after their parents passed away. I love to take care of others who are in need and encourage other people who have difficult life like me that everything is possible, it’s just a matter of time.
